This nutrient–rich smoothie makes a great breakfast or post-exercise recovery snack with plenty of protein which is important for muscle maintenance and repair. The avocado provides a lovely creamy texture as well as being a wonderful source of monounsaturated fatty acids.  

 


Creamy Green Goddess Smoothie – serves 2

  • Natural Daily Protein Shake1 serve Nutra-Life Vanilla Daily Protein (3 level scoops)
  • 1 banana, sliced into rounds and frozen
  • 2 Medjool dates, pitted
  • ¼ avocado
  • Handful dark leafy greens such as spinach or kale
  • ¾ cup water
  • 8 ice cubes

Optional:

  • 1 Tbpsn honey if you prefer extra sweetness
  • 1 Tbspn Spirulina powder for an extra green smoothie

To serve:

1 Tbspn black chia seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place all of the ingredients (except chia seeds if using), into a high-powered blender or Nutri-bullet and blend until thick and creamy.
  2. Pour into a serving glass and sprinkle over chia seeds if desired.
  3. Enjoy!
